It's kind of annoying that my GalScout can do anything my GalAssault can do and in some places better(with a smaller hitbox)
So maybe a tiny hp buff would help.
I think it should work like this:
Two different values, try the first, then the other if it isn't enough.
Amarr 65-115 overall ehp increase. 15/50-35/80 shields and armour.
Caldari 50-100 shields.
Minmatar 47-95 40/7-80/15 shields and armour
Gallente 50-75 and .5-1 reps a second. Add a extra 50 armour and half a extra rep per second or 75 and 1 extra rep a second.

A assault can't get a decent chunk of hp and passive scanning.
The assault isn't meant to hide and scan and the scout isn't meant to tank. Problem is plates, but you can't change plates without hurting other suits and classes.

I'd blame the speed penalty, which should be different for each frame the smaller the frame the higher the penalty. Edit: Of course I speak of plates. I agree, but I'm pretty sure CCP doesn't know how to code that.
Otherwise, CCP would have given the GalAssault a reduction to the speed penalty of plates.

then give assaults 3% per level for dmg for light weapons. this will make them a more deadly less resilient version of the commando. They were going to do something like that, but people thought the Assault should get only bonuses to weapons.
They could have given them a 1 percent bonus to all light weapons a 1 percent bonus to their racial weapons. That would make assault get a nice dmg bonus with all weapons, but really shine with their racial stuff.
Of course that means the AR would still be at the bottom of the rifles till they get around to fixing the rifles, but it would still be a step in the right direction of they wanted assaults to...assault.

I agree with you... But 10% buff dammage for his weapon... Isn't it a little bit so much ? I think we should have something like : for all : 5% reduction to PG/CPU cost ans 1% buff dammage of light/sidearm weapons Caldari Assault: +5% to reload speed of hybrid railgun light/sidearm weapons per level. Gallente Assault: 5% reduction to hybrid - blaster light/sidearm hip-fire dispersion and kick per level. Minmatar Assault: +5% to projectile light/sidearm clip size per level. Amarr Assault: 5% reduction to laser weaponry heat build-up per level. => 10% is like the commando, and so it would not have any utility to choose the commando... 5% for all weapon is good I think, because an assault could be good with all weapon, is'nt it ? And keep the current bonus, they are good. What do you think ? yeah that sounds good to me. I just meant a flat percent per level would be too much.

This might be good for short term but we need something for assaults only, that makes them unique right now they're then only ones without something to make them unique.. Of course, I would like the Assault to really shine but the extra ehp might make them sturdy enough to deal with scouts and heavies for now.

Am I the only one who doesn't brick tank everything? I don't either. But it doesn't make sense a scout can get the amount of ehp a assault has but a assault can get the passive scanning and damping of a scout.
